2027 Coachmen Remote 13R Delivers Big Features in a Small, Adventure-Ready Travel Trailer

Coachmen RV is giving its smallest adventure trailer a meaningful refresh for the 2027 model year, proving that customer feedback can play a major role in product development. The updated Remote 13R arrives with a redesigned interior, upgraded appliances, and several convenience improvements while keeping the compact, lightweight formula that made it popular.

Introduced just last year as part of Coachmen's Remote 7' Wide Series, the 13R quickly established itself as one of the lineup's standout floorplans for couples looking for an easy-to-tow camper that doesn't sacrifice comfort. For 2027, the company has focused on refining the experience rather than reinventing it.

The most noticeable changes are inside. Bright white interiors have been replaced with a more contemporary look featuring dark gray cabinetry, light-colored walls, and contrasting upholstery, giving the cabin a more upscale feel.

The kitchen also benefits from several upgrades. A new 12-volt refrigerator now comes standard, supported by a factory-installed 200-watt solar panel and charge controller. Coachmen has also upgraded the cooking setup with a convection microwave that doubles as an air fryer, adding more flexibility for meal preparation without increasing the trailer's footprint.

Despite the updates, the Remote 13R retains the layout that made it successful. Designed primarily for two travelers, it offers a surprisingly spacious interior with a full kitchen, a dry bathroom, generous storage, and enough cargo capacity for extended trips. Its rugged construction and light off-road capability also make it a solid choice for campers who like venturing beyond traditional campgrounds.

The trailer measures 18.3 feet long and rides on a single axle equipped with 15-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. It comes standard with manual stabilizer jacks and a manual tongue jack.

Construction is another highlight. Coachmen uses an aluminum cage structure combined with Azdel composite panels and fiberglass exterior walls, eliminating structural wood to improve durability and reduce the risk of water damage over time.

Inside, the oversized front dinette easily seats six people and converts into two twin beds or one king-size sleeping area, an impressive feature in a trailer of this size.

The galley includes a large stainless-steel sink, a two-burner cooktop, ample counter space, and multiple overhead cabinets and drawers. The refrigerator sits near the entry door and includes a freezer compartment, while additional overhead storage helps maximize every inch of available space.

Across from the kitchen is a storage cabinet Coachmen refers to as a dresser. It includes large storage cubbies, TV mounting provisions, and an integrated Bluetooth speaker. Additional storage can be found beneath the seating area, along with a lockable metal compartment for valuables.

The bathroom features a shower with a skylight, a porcelain foot-flush toilet, and built-in storage. Instead of a traditional sink, Coachmen uses compact textile organizers with removable Velcro pouches to make better use of the limited space.

Standard equipment includes a low-profile air conditioner, furnace, Fogatti on-demand water heater, MaxxAir powered roof fan, full-length powered awning with LED lighting, outdoor hot-and-cold shower, solid entry steps, and 30-amp shore power.

Buyers also receive a factory-installed 200-watt solar package, with an available upgrade to 400 watts. Freshwater capacity is 52 gallons, while both the gray- and black-water tanks hold 27 gallons each. The trailer also comes prewired for Starlink internet equipment.

Coachmen lists the Remote 13R with a dry weight of 2,781 pounds and a gross vehicle weight rating of 3,800 pounds, making it towable by many midsize SUVs and light-duty trucks.

The company describes the model as "more than a compact trailer," and the long list of standard equipment supports that claim. Dealer pricing typically ranges from $20,000 to $24,000, depending on location, inventory, and available discounts.
