As part of its annual student project, the company Skoda has unveiled a concept car based on the Superb model. Developed by students from the factory’s training center, the new prototype, named the Skoda L&K 130, is designed in a pickup format and is focused on the needs of cyclists, focusing on the transportation and servicing of sports bikes.

The designers had to remove the roof behind the C-pillar to install a special platform with electric drives and a tilt system up to 35 degrees. This allows bicycles to be secured for easy transportation.

The freed space at the rear of the body was equipped with a refrigeration chamber for storing bottles of water. Inside the cabin, only one seat of the second row was left, and the rest of the space was reconfigured.

The car’s right door has been fully modified: now it's a sliding door with two external handles. This solution enhances the safety of cyclists near the car and is further reinforced with two locking mechanisms.

The pickup is painted in Laurin & Klement brand colors: gold, red, white, and black. The concept will be publicly showcased at the Tour de France, which will take place from July 5 to 27.
