Car enthusiasts have been shown the first photos of the Skoda Epiq 2026 prototype, the smallest electric SUV of the Czech brand. This compact electric car was first introduced as a concept last year, and spy shots indicate that many design elements will be retained in the production version.

The exterior features large air intakes in the front bumper, a flat power dome on the hood, and signature lighting at the front and rear. Skoda describes the new style as «modern solid», and the interior promises to use durable materials and a Simply Clever storage system characteristic of the brand.

The Epiq will be the brand's first electric vehicle with such styling. Technically, the car will have two battery options, one of which will provide a range of up to 400 km — especially important for urban use and long trips. Other specifications remain under wraps for now but are expected to be announced later.

This subcompact electric vehicle is being assembled in Spain, in Pamplona, as part of a joint VW Group project involving Skoda, Cupra, and Volkswagen brands. Thanks to its compact size, the Epiq will be Skoda's smallest electric car and the most affordable — priced at about 25,000 euros.
