The second-generation Hyundai Creta is currently sold in different versions depending on the market, but that fragmentation is expected to end with the model’s third-generation redesign, which is now in development.

Recently, independent design studio SRK Designs released a series of renders showing what the revamped Creta could look like. If these images are accurate, the crossover is in for a dramatic exterior overhaul inspired by the recently unveiled Hyundai Crater concept.

From the concept car—debuted at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show—the new Creta is expected to borrow its LED daytime running lights, designed as two thin horizontal strips with pixel-style elements.

The main headlamp clusters would be positioned lower in a more aggressive, redesigned bumper, while the grille is shown with a multi-layered structure for a tougher, more modern look.

The plastic cladding around the wheel arches is expected to become significantly wider and visually connected across the doors. At the rear, the crossover would feature taillights with graphics echoing the front design, along with two large exhaust outlets.

The next-generation Creta is expected to ride on Hyundai Group’s K3 platform, which also underpins the second-generation Kia Seltos.

From its corporate sibling, the Creta is likely to inherit not only the platform but also a range of powertrains, including an upcoming plug-in hybrid gasoline-electric system set to debut on the Seltos in about a year.

The world premiere of the third-generation Hyundai Creta is expected to take place as early as 2027.
