Mansory Gives the Rolls-Royce Cullinan a Wild New Look With Carbon, Orange and 720 HP

Mansory has given the Rolls-Royce Cullinan a radical makeover that pushes the British luxury SUV toward the world of high-performance crossovers while retaining its powerful engine.

The new creation is called the Soft Kit, and it completely changes the Cullinan's appearance. The SUV is finished in gray, a color that fits the understated image traditionally associated with the British brand. Mansory, however, breaks up the restrained look with bright orange accents that would feel more at home on a much younger performance vehicle.

The orange detailing appears throughout the exterior. It can be found on the signature Rolls-Royce hood ornament, the thin coachline running along the body, the grille and the wheel center caps.

Mansory also installed a completely redesigned body kit made almost entirely from forged carbon fiber. The tuner replaced the hood and upper section of the grille and added a front splitter and new fender extensions. The rear pillars were also redesigned, while a new diffuser and numerous other exterior components complete the transformation.

Additional LED lights have been integrated into the front bumper above the side air intakes. The rear diffuser is accompanied by further extensions, while massive black-finished wheels give the SUV an even more aggressive stance.

Mansory also lowered the suspension, a change that is likely to come at the expense of some of the Cullinan's famously smooth ride.

Up to 720 Horsepower

Mansory has not released the full technical specifications of the Soft Kit. The SUV is expected to retain its 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged engine, which produces up to 562 or 592 horsepower depending on the version.

Mansory typically modifies the powertrain along with the exterior, however. According to reports, the tuner has increased output to as much as 720 horsepower, with torque reportedly reaching 774 pound-feet.

The cabin has also received the Mansory treatment. Buyers will be offered numerous customization options, including expensive leather upholstery and carbon-fiber trim.

Mansory also says the SUV is equipped with a new sport exhaust system featuring electronically controlled valves, giving the Cullinan a more aggressive exhaust note when desired.

The company has not yet announced official pricing for the new creation. Japanese media reports suggest the conversion could cost at least $330,000, and that figure does not include the price of the Cullinan itself.

The result is certainly not an ordinary Cullinan. But the aggressive bodywork and lowered suspension come with a practical trade-off. With so much of the SUV's design focused on appearance and road presence, its usability is likely to be limited to smooth pavement.

For a vehicle built around luxury and exclusivity, Mansory's Soft Kit takes the Cullinan in a very different direction — replacing some of its traditional restraint with forged carbon, bright orange accents and a much more aggressive stance.
