Tesla Updates Model S Plaid: Improved Sound Insulation and the Same Impressive Features

Tesla Updates Model S Plaid: Improved Sound Insulation and the Same Impressive Features

Tesla has launched a refreshed version of the Model S Plaid for the 2026 model year. Externally, changes are only noticeable on close inspection: the new front bumper now features an integrated camera, the air intakes have become black, and the rear part features a redesigned diffuser. Adaptive LED optics at the front and updated rear lights have also appeared.

The wheel lineup now includes standard 19-inch «Magnetite» wheels. For an additional $4500, 21-inch «Valerium» alloy wheels are available. A new body color has been added to the range — Frost Blue Metallic, which costs $2500.

The main change concerns acoustic comfort. According to the first reviews from owners, the cabin has become noticeably quieter, especially at high speeds and in the city. The interior now features dynamic panel and door card lighting, as well as a blind spot indicator in the mirrors. The central interface has been slightly upgraded, but the interior architecture remains the same: the same seats, the same central console, and a choice between a «yoke» or classic steering wheel (the latter still costs $1000).

Tesla Model S Plaid - Frost Blue Metallic

Technically, the Tesla Model S Plaid remains true to itself: the power exceeds 1000 hp, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes less than two seconds. However, there is a slight improvement — an increased range: now it reaches up to 592 kilometers (an increase of 20 miles compared to the previous version).

At a starting price of $99,990, the updated Tesla Model S Plaid remains one of the fastest and most technologically advanced electric cars in the premium segment for 2025–2026.
