Pagani extends the life of the Zonda: the iconic supercar can now be upgraded without limits
Pagani has announced a new strategy: Zonda owners will be able to upgrade their vehicles, including the body, interior, and technology, despite the end of production.

Italian brand Pagani, renowned for its exclusive supercars, has changed its approach to the maintenance and development of one of its most legendary models — the Zonda. Although production of these cars ended back in 2011, the manufacturer has declared its readiness to offer owners almost unlimited possibilities for updating and personalizing their machines. This was announced during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where company representatives confirmed the new strategy aimed at keeping the Zonda model relevant in the coming years.
Even though the model left the production line long ago, Pagani has found a way to maintain interest in it and give owners the opportunity to adapt the car to modern standards. The company will continue to accept Zonda for deep upgrades — in terms of both technical characteristics and visual design. This decision is especially important in light of the fact that on the secondary market, the Zonda retains its iconic status and often costs more than it did upon release.
One reason for such an unconventional move is Pagani's attitude towards its own legacy. The company emphasizes that the story of the Zonda is not over — and as long as it is technically and logistically possible, the brand will support its clients, allowing the Zonda to evolve with the times. Such upgrades may include the installation of new body elements, modernized interiors, as well as the use of modern composite materials, making each updated Zonda practically unique. The modular chassis design helps in this process, allowing new components to be integrated without large-scale modifications.
It is worth recalling that the Zonda, which debuted in 1999, was Pagani's first car and quickly became one of the most sought-after supercars of the 21st century. Fewer than 140 units were produced, including limited and individual versions, making the model exceptionally rare. Now, with the possibility of unlimited updates, each Zonda has the chance for a second life — without compromising the brand's original spirit.
