New electric motorcycle uses gyroscopic stabilization and AI technology to stay upright—even at standstill.
The startup Omoway has begun production of an unusual electric motorcycle called the Omoway OMO X. According to the company, the bike’s advanced stabilization system makes it virtually impossible for the rider to tip over.
At the heart of the technology is Omoway’s proprietary OMO-ROBOT self-balancing system. It relies on a high-power gyroscope similar to those used in the aerospace industry, combined with sophisticated machine-learning algorithms.
The gyroscope generates stabilizing torque that counteracts lean, preventing the motorcycle from falling to either side—even when the bike is stationary or moving at very low speeds.
The system works together with onboard sensors and artificial intelligence. Instead of simply keeping the motorcycle upright, it constantly analyzes road conditions and the rider’s movements.
As a result, the OMO X can assist during tight turns, help prevent wheel slip on wet pavement, and even take evasive action to reduce the risk of a collision.
Indonesia will be the first market where the OMO X becomes available. Preorders are scheduled to open in late April 2026, with customer purchases expected to begin in May 2026.
