In mid-July, the German company unveiled the new Audi A5L for the year 2025, intended for the Chinese market. The car will debut there as both a sedan and a wagon. The German model has been preliminarily adapted for the Chinese market, including locally developed equipment. Audi has now announced that sales of the A5L in China will start on August 7th.

Pre-orders for the sedan and wagon were recently opened. It has been revealed that prices will start at 256,800 yuan ($35,900). However, the car might be sold at a lower price initially, as new entries to the Chinese market are commonly offered at a more affordable price.

The sedan and wagon come equipped with a 2-liter engine that delivers up to 272 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. This unit is complemented by a turbocharging technology with a variable cross-section VTG, which balances power at high rpm and responsiveness at low rpm. Additionally, there are two compact electric motors.

The package also includes 12 ultrasonic radars, 13 cameras, and 6 millimeter-wave sensors, ensuring highly intelligent vehicle control in various operating conditions. This equipment for Audi is supplied by Huawei.
