The essence of building motorcycles from scratch is to create a model that captures attention and finds its fans. Some bold engineers go further, crafting bikes that stand out through their design, geometry, and performance. One such creation is the Ciulator, an electric motorcycle from Korean manufacturer Compass Rose.

Unveiled at CES 2026, the Ciulator — whose name reflects the phrase “I’ll stop by a café first — see you later” — drew significant attention from conference attendees.

This neo-retro model, inspired by 1950s café racers, combines striking vintage aesthetics with modern technology. The bike comes in two versions: standard and track.

The track version features a 34-hp brushless DC hub motor generating 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. It can reach a top speed of 150 mph (240 km/h), and its Samsung 72V/150Ah battery provides a range of up to 93 miles (150 km) on a full charge.

The standard version has a 10-hp electric motor, reaching speeds of 93 mph (150 km/h), with a 72V/100Ah Samsung battery offering 81 miles (130 km) of range. Notably, the battery is designed to resemble a traditional internal combustion engine, adding to the bike’s retro charm.

Ciulator is built entirely from premium materials — from Reynolds 953 steel tubing for the frame to a full carbon-fiber body that keeps weight at just 308 lbs (140 kg). Even the seat is special, upholstered in Cordovan leather imported from Argentina.

Currently, the Ciulator is available in South Korea for ₩66,000,000 (~$50,000 USD).
