The Chinese automaker Li Auto (Lixiang) has unveiled its plans for the near future: in July 2025, the six-seater electric crossover Li i8 will debut, followed by the presentation of the five-seater Li i6 to the public in September. Both novelties are built on a purely electric platform and will complement the brand's current lineup, which includes crossovers L6–L9 and the minivan Mega.

According to analysts' forecasts, sales of the Li i6 could reach 12,000 cars per month, while its «older brother», the Li i8, around 5,000. For comparison, in 2024, the company's revenue was 144.5 billion yuan (approximately 20.2 billion US dollars).

Li Auto's management also touched on the topic of expanding the model range. Sedans are not yet a priority — their production will only begin with stable market demand and when the company's annual income exceeds 300 billion yuan (42 billion US dollars).

Simultaneously, the brand is increasing its presence abroad. The strategic goal is for 30% of sales to come from markets outside of China. The focus is currently on Asia and Europe: Li Auto is looking for local dealers to strengthen positions in these regions.

Our opinion on this—«Li Auto is moving in the right direction. The new crossovers will complement the lineup and help strengthen its market position. The Li i6 looks particularly promising — it has a good chance of becoming a popular model.»
