Ford F-150 Officially Heads to Europe, but Its Price Tag Feels Very American
Europe is finally getting the Ford F-150, though buyers there will pay a massive premium for it.
The Ford F-150 is officially crossing the Atlantic and heading to Europe, but the price of America’s favorite pickup overseas is enough to shock even loyal truck fans. In several European markets, the full-size pickup will reportedly start at €76,500 — or about $89,000 at current exchange rates.

That eye-watering sticker applies to the Ford F-150 XLT, which will serve as the entry-level version for European customers. Back home in the U.S., the same trim starts around $44,700, meaning Europeans will pay nearly double for essentially the same truck.
If that pricing trend continues across the lineup, performance versions could become seriously expensive abroad. The high-performance F-150 Raptor R currently starts at roughly $114,400 in the U.S., which could translate to nearly $160,000 once it lands in Europe.

Ford is also keeping its cheaper trims stateside. American buyers still have access to the base XL model starting around $39,300, while the STX comes in at approximately $41,900. Those versions are powered by a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 producing 325 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.
Europe, however, will only receive the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 version. That naturally aspirated engine delivers 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, enough to push the big pickup from 0 to 60 mph in around six seconds before topping out at an electronically limited 110 mph.

The F-150’s arrival also reflects changing tastes across Europe. Over the past decade, buyers there have gradually shifted away from tiny city cars toward SUVs, crossovers, and now larger pickups. There’s suddenly real interes in full-size American trucks, even if Europe’s streets weren’t exactly designed for them.
And size is where things could get awkward.
Depending on cab configuration and bed length, the 2026 Ford F-150 measures between 232 and nearly 244 inches long. That puts it close to the massive Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase, one of the largest luxury sedans sold in Europe today.
The Phantom EWB stretches roughly 235 inches long and rides on a huge 150-inch wheelbase. Parking something even remotely close to that size in crowded European cities could quickly become a nightmare, especially where parking spots are notoriously small.
Sales and distribution for the F-150 in Europe will reportedly be handled by Hedin US Motor, according to Motor1. Ford’s F-Series has remained America’s best-selling truck lineup for 49 consecutive years, but Europe presents a completely diferent challenge.
Full-size pickups still occupy a very small niche there, although interest continues to grow. Right now, the Ford’s biggest rival will likely be the Ram 1500, which Stellantis already sells in Europe through partner dealerships. Since there are very few direct competitors, the Ram has effectively become Europe’s top-selling full-size truck by default.

Ford also has no plans to build the F-150 overseas. Production will remain in America, partly because the company wants tighter quality control over the truck. The F-150 already ranks among Ford’s most recalled vehicles, so moving production elsewhere probably wasn’t considered worth the risk.
Instead, Ford will simply ship the trucks across the ocean and hope enough European buyers are willing to pay premium prices for a true American pickup experence.
