Engineers Propose a New Supercar Layout With the Driver Positioned Face Down

Engineers at Dutch startup Sanrivatti, founded by 23-year-old Santiago Sánchez Rivero, have proposed positioning the driver inside a supercar in a face-down driving position.

The driver's position, centered in the cabin, resembles that of a rider on a superbike. Sanrivatti says the development of its supercar will be based on the human body—its biomechanics, posture, sense of balance, and other characteristics—rather than starting with the chassis.

According to the company, this approach will give the driver a physical connection to the road, creating a driving experience that traditional sports cars cannot offer.
