GM revealed what the new Chevrolet Camaro might be like.
The Camaro might return, but not in its former guise. GM president Mark Reuss discussed in an interview with The Detroit News what he envisions for the future of the iconic model. According to him, the new generation values not only performance and technology but also beauty, emotions, and driving pleasure — the things that made the Camaro beloved from the start.
Reuss recalled his first car — a 1967 Camaro — as an example of a «just beautiful car», not necessarily built for racing, but one that brought joy. He emphasized that if the brand decides to revive it, the model should again become a symbol of style, functionality, and enjoyment.
It is possible that, like the Mustang, the Camaro will have an electric version. Reuss noted the success of the electric Ford Mach-E, which has already surpassed the classic version of the Mustang in sales. This could be a hint: an electric Camaro — not a myth, but a strategic move.
While there is no official confirmation yet, it is clear that within GM, there is discussion about reviving the iconic name — possibly with a new approach and philosophy.
