Ford Recalls More Than 125,000 Vehicles, Including Nearly 91,000 F-150 Trucks
Ford Recalls More Than 125,000 Vehicles Over Software, Window, Clutch, and Lighting Problems
Ford is recalling more than 125,000 vehicles in the United States through four separate safety campaigns. In each case, the issues involve vehicles that had previously undergone recall repairs but were not fixed properly.
The latest actions affect several popular models, including the F-150, Escape, Focus, and Fusion. Dealers will perform all necessary repairs free of charge, and owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed beginning July 6.
More Than 10,000 F-150s Recalled Over Gear Selection Problem
Ford is recalling 10,742 examples of the 2018 F-150 that were previously serviced under recall 17V669.

According to the automaker, quickly shifting from Park into Drive could cause the instrument cluster to lose its gear indication. In some cases, the transmission could briefly select Reverse or Neutral instead of the intended gear, creating the possibility of unexpected vehicle movement and increasing the risk of a crash.
Owners with questions can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. The recall is identified internally as 26S42 and corresponds to NHTSA campaign 26V375.
2017 Escape SUVs Have Power Window Safety Issue
Another recall covers 18,124 model-year 2017 Ford Escape SUVs.

The power windows may exert too much force before reversing when an object is detected, preventing the vehicles from meeting federal safety requirements for power-operated windows. The problem affects vehicles that had previously received incorrect repairs under recall 16V617.
Ford's internal recall number is 26C29, while the NHTSA campaign number is 26V374.
Focus and Fusion Models Face Potential Transmission Fire Hazard
Ford is also recalling 5,252 vehicles consisting of certain 2015-2018 Focus sedans and 2013-2016 Fusion sedans.

These vehicles were previously repaired under recalls 18V169 and 18V845. The company says the clutch assembly could fracture, damaging the transmission housing and allowing transmission fluid to leak. If the fluid contacts hot engine or exhaust components, it could ignite and lead to an underhood fire.
The campaign carries Ford recall number 26S43 and NHTSA number 26V376.
Nearly 91,000 F-150 Trucks Recalled Over Headlight Issue
The largest campaign affects approximately 91,000 F-150 pickups from the 2018 through 2020 model years.
Ford says the daytime running lights may fail to dim when drivers switch from the automatic headlight setting to manually activated headlights. Instead, the lights can remain at full brightness, potentially reducing visibility for other motorists and violating federal lighting standards.
These trucks had previously been repaired under recall 20V097, but some repairs were not completed correctly. Ford identifies this campaign as 26C28, while the NHTSA lists it under number 26V373.
Additional RV Recalls Announced
Outside of Ford, Alliance RV is recalling 1,354 motorhomes and travel trailers from model years 2020 through 2026 across several brands, including Luxe Cruiser, Ultimate Coach, and Revolution. The issue involves an undersized ground wire that could overheat and increase the risk of fire. Owners will receive notification letters beginning July 6.
Winnebago is also recalling 384 examples of the 2026 and 2027 Revel and Revel Sport RVs. The vehicles carry incorrect tire information labels, which could result in owners installing the wrong replacement tires. New labels will be installed free of charge, and owner notifications are expected to begin July 17.
How Owners Can Check for Open Recalls
Vehicle owners can search their VIN numbers through the NHTSA recall database once the campaigns become active on June 22 or July 6, depending on the specific recall. Customers may also contact Ford or the affected manufacturers directly using their customer service numbers for additional information.
All repairs associated with these recalls will be performed free of charge.
