The 2026 GDRV Solitude 380FL Is Fifth Wheel Living Done Right
Living in an RV full-time doesn’t have to mean roughing it—especially when rigs like the 2026 Solitude 380FL deliver comfort and space.
Living in an RV for long stretches—or even full time—doesn’t have to mean giving up everyday essentials or, if your budget allows, a bit of luxury. For those looking at the high end of the spectrum, Grand Design RV offers the Solitude lineup of fifth-wheel trailers, massive rigs designed for residential-style living without compromise.
The Solitude 380FL from GDRV (Grand Design RV) isn’t the smallest or the largest model in the 10-unit Solitude family, but it still stands out as a beautiful example of upscale campground living. Now in its 2026 model year, the 380FL follows the classic front-living floorplan. It sleeps up to six people, includes two bathrooms (technically one and a half), stylish finishes throughout, and a kitchen that may make you want to spend more time cooking than exploring.

Like every Solitude fifth wheel, this one is built with extended stays and full-time living in mind—and it shows. You’ll find premium finishes everywhere, thoughtful details, and plenty of space carefully laid out so you can live comfortably for as long as you like. Storage is generous in nearly every corner, with even a few hidden compartments designed to keep valuables out of sight.

The Solitude 380FL rides on a wide-body 101-inch chassis with tandem axles and independent suspension. GDRV adds five slide-outs that dramatically expand the interior, along with two awnings so the living space can spill outside. Altogether, it’s a large and elegant package packed with the creature comforts people expect from home.

This fifth wheel measures 41.4 feet (12.6 meters) in total length, and its dropped-frame design helps create what may be one of the best storage garages in its class. Up front you get the typical pass-through compartment, but the rear section is where things get interesting: a huge storage bay with durable flooring, a massive MORryde slide-out tray, lighting, and multiple access doors leading inside.

For someone who packs smart, that single compartment could handle gear for a long stay on its own—but it’s only the begining. GDRV has included plenty of other clever storage ideas throughout the interior.
You enter directly into the kitchen, which centers around a stylish island, a dedicated coffee hutch, and a standalone dinette with elegant chairs and a floating table. The appliances are residential-style, including a large double-door refrigerator with freezer drawers, a four-burner cooktop, a full-size oven big enough for holiday turkeys, and a roomy microwave.

There’s also one of those TikTok-famous multi-accessory sinks, a large pantry with pull-out drawers and shelves, and a hidden spice rack tucked neatly above the microwave. Add in even more cabinets and storage spaces, and it’s clear this kitchen isn’t just checking boxes—it’s a genuinely functional and attractive place to cook. Solid-surface countertops and soft-close hinges come standard.

Three steps on either side of the kitchen lead to the main living area and the bedroom. A convenient half bath sits just off the kitchen, equipped with a foot-flush porcelain toilet and a small vanity sink with built-in storage.
The front living room can also serve as extra sleeping space thanks to two tri-fold sofas positioned in opposing slide-outs, offering beds for four. Entertainment comes from an oversized smart TV mounted on a televator, paired with Rockford Fosgate audio, while an electric fireplace adds warmth and a cozy atmosphere.

Across from the entertainment wall sits a pair of power-reclining theater seats—the perfect spot to relax while catching up on your favorite shows. When the televator is lowered, the large front windshield becomes the star of the room, letting you enjoy the view outside.

The bedroom sits at the back of the trailer, with a full ensuite bathroom at the rear. It comes standard with a queen bed but can be upgraded to a king. Storage is plentiful here too, including hidden compartments and smart touches like a headboard with a flip-up panel that doubles as a shelf. A full dresser with drawers runs along the wall, flanked by wardrobes on both sides, and another smart TV is mounted above the dresser.
The master bathroom includes dual vanities, additional cabinets above and below the counter, a foot-flush toilet, and a recessed glass shower with a spa-style shower column and black hardware. There’s also another wardrobe prepped for a washer-dryer combo. GDRV even adds a dedicated drawer for hair tools, which tells you just how much thought went into the design.
Standard equipment on the 2026 Solitude 380FL includes an on-demand water heater, a 35,000-BTU furnace, 30,000-BTU ducted air conditioning, two power awnings, and a fully walkable roof. The freshwater tank holds 83 gallons (314 liters), while gray and black waste capacity totals 106 gallons (401 liters).
Gross weight comes in at 19,000 pounds (8,618 kg), with a cargo carrying capacity of 4,000 pounds (1,814 kg).

MSRP for a new 2026 model typically starts north of $160,000, though real-world sales prices often land closer to the $137,000 range. As always, the final cost will depend on the dealer and whatever extra options you choose, so doing a little research before signing the paperwork is always a good idea.
