Audi’s upcoming models will emphasize design as the key factor, inspired by the Concept C.

Audi Admits Looks Matter Most: Future Models to Focus on Bold Design

Audi is planning a major shift in the design of its future vehicles, making exterior styling the centerpiece of its brand strategy. Board member Marco Schubert emphasized that design remains the primary reason customers choose an Audi.

This new approach is showcased in the Audi Concept C, which embodies the “Radical Next” philosophy and hints at the company’s future styling direction. Audi hopes the cleaner, more streamlined look will help its cars stand out against competitors.

According to Audi executives, the concept signals a return to simpler, more precise body lines and a minimalist exterior. Inside, the brand plans to reintroduce some physical buttons while upgrading materials, responding to past critiques that interiors had become less refined.

The production version of the Concept C is expected no earlier than late 2027 or early 2028. Around 87% of the concept’s design is likely to carry over. However, the model will not carry the TT or R8 nameplates.

These upcoming models are expected to play a pivotal role in Audi’s lineup, aiming to attract buyers and strengthen the brand’s standing amid fierce competition from BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
