BYD FCB Ti9 Spotted With the Brand's First Full-Width Dashboard Display
The first photos of the interior of the new BYD Fang Cheng Bao Tai 9 (Ti9) flagship SUV have surfaced online.
New details about the flagship model from BYD's Fang Cheng Bao sub-brand have emerged thanks to road testing and enthusiast photos of the upcoming Tai 9 crossover, which may be marketed as the Ti9 in overseas markets. According to Y-Auto, newly leaked images reveal the vehicle's interior without camouflage for the first time and showcase the brand's first full-width dashboard display.

Division General Manager Xiong Tianbo confirmed that the flagship model will launch in the second half of the year. The new interior layout marks a shift in the company's dashboard design approach and positions the model in the full-size family SUV segment.

The full-width display stretches across the dashboard, combining the driver's instrument cluster, the infotainment system, and a passenger display into a single unit. This multi-screen layout is commonly found in premium family vehicles and replaces the separate floating touchscreens previously used in BYD models. Based on the leaked photos, the dashboard features clean, minimalist lines beneath the protective black covers. Other interior upgrades include dedicated rear-seat entertainment screens paired with a Devialet audio system. These details build on information previously revealed in the teaser campaign for the flagship FCB model.

The spacious cabin will be available in five-, six-, and seven-seat configurations. The third-row seats fold flat into the floor to increase cargo space when needed.
The SUV will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain combining a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with two electric motors, producing a combined 738 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque. Power will be supplied by BYD's second-generation Blade batteries, which support high-voltage DC fast charging. The powertrain architecture is similar to that of the BYD Great Tang crossover, which starts at approximately $41,600 at current exchange rates. Exterior highlights include split headlights, flush door handles, and power-deployable running boards.

As for sales performance, the Fang Cheng Bao sub-brand recorded registrations across its entire lineup in May 2026. The best-selling model was the Ti7, also known as the Tai 7, with 17,510 units sold, accounting for 66.4% of the brand's monthly volume, according to China EV DataTracker. The rest of the lineup consisted of the compact Fang Cheng Bao Ti3 with 6,086 deliveries, the Bao 5 with 2,296 sales, and the Bao 8 SUV with 469 units sold. Together, these models accounted for 1.7% of the domestic market during the reporting month as production ramped up ahead of the official debut of the flagship SUV.
