New Kronos Fit 235 TL Is a Tiny Motorhome With a Drop-Down Bed and Motorcycle Carrier

A small motorhome can make a big difference when a trip involves narrow streets, cramped parking lots, and destinations where a full-size RV would be more trouble than it's worth. Compact campers are easier to maneuver, but smart interior design can still provide the comforts needed for longer adventures.

Roller Team’s new Kronos Fit 235 TL takes that approach to the extreme. This low-profile motorhome is roughly the size of a large van, yet its floor plan includes a front lounge, an electric drop-down bed, a central kitchen, and a bathroom across the rear.

For American readers unfamiliar with the brand, Roller Team is an Italian RV manufacturer founded in 2001 and based in San Gimignano, Tuscany. It operates under the Trigano Group, a major player in the recreational vehicle industry.

For the 2027 model year, Roller Team is adding the ultra-compact Kronos Fit 235 TL to its low-profile motorhome lineup. Built on a Ford Transit chassis, the new model measures just 19.6 feet long and 7 feet wide. Its compact footprint is paired with an interior designed around flexibility rather than a conventional permanent bedroom.

The Transit-based motorhome uses a 130-horsepower engine and a manual transmission. Its short wheelbase is intended to make it easier to handle on tight roads and in urban areas. The vehicle has a maximum authorized mass of 7,716 pounds, allowing it to be driven with a standard car license in most European countries.

Roller Team builds the Kronos Fit around its Extreme Protection System, or ExPS Evo. The system is designed to improve thermal insulation and reduce interior noise, bringing a level of comfort typically associated with larger low-profile motorhomes. The body is also covered by a 10-year warranty against water infiltration.

No Permanent Bed, More Living Space

The biggest departure from a conventional motorhome layout is immediately obvious when you walk inside the 235 TL: there isn't a permanent bed.

Instead, the front of the motorhome is given over to a large face-to-face dinette, with an electrically operated double bed tucked into the ceiling above it. Removing the fixed bedroom opens up considerably more usable space during the day.

Two facing benches work with the swiveling cab seats to create a lounge that can accommodate up to six people when parked. A double-leaf pedestal table sits between the benches, providing plenty of room for meals or board games.

Natural light comes through awning-style windows on both sides, while a large opening panoramic sunroof adds even more light to the lounge.

When it's time to sleep, the electric bed drops down over the seating area. It uses a breathable mattress and wooden slatted base. Roller Team describes the motorhome as a two-berth model, but the sleeping capacity can be increased to four by converting the lounge below into a second double bed.

The conversion is also easier on this model because magnetic seat backs replace the previous Velcro system.

A Compact Kitchen With a Big Refrigerator

The kitchen sits in the middle of the motorhome and is small without being stripped down. It gets a three-burner gas cooktop with a tempered-glass cover, a round sink with a matching cover, and a 152-liter compressor refrigerator.

The refrigerator is one of the updates for the new model year.

Storage comes from cabinets above and below the kitchen, giving owners room for cookware and dishes. There's also a wall-mounted chrome spice rack.

Behind the kitchen, a narrow door opens into the transverse rear bathroom. Despite the motorhome's compact dimensions, the bathroom includes a separate shower compartment, toilet, vanity sink, and medicine cabinet.

There isn't enough room for a dedicated dressing area like those found in some larger motorhomes. Storage, however, hasn't been overlooked. A tall cabinet next to the refrigerator combines a large wardrobe at the top with a shallow cupboard underneath.

Additional storage is built into the seating area, while a large vertical garage at the rear can be reached from inside or outside the motorhome.

Bring a Motorcycle Along

One of the most distinctive options available for the new 235 TL is a factory-installed motorcycle carrier.

The setup includes an access ramp and an offset rear bumper, allowing owners to carry a motorcycle without purchasing a separate aftermarket rack. When the carrier isn't needed, the motorhome keeps its standard exterior configuration.

For climate control, the Kronos Fit 235 TL is equipped with a 4,000-watt diesel heater and water heater, most likely a Truma Combi Diesel system.

Roller Team also lists pre-wiring for lithium batteries and Isofix child-seat mounting points among the standard features across the Kronos range.

Pricing has not been published on the manufacturer's website. The new Kronos Fit 235 TL is expected to start at approximately €63,790, or about $73,715, with the final price varying by market and standard dealer delivery fees.
