200,000th Vehicle Rolls Off the Line at JMC-Ford’s Fushun Plant — an All-Electric Ford Bronco
An electric Ford Bronco has rolled off the assembly line just ahead of its market launch.
This model was developed specifically for the Chinese market and is aimed at competing in the fast-growing segment of large NEV crossovers with off-road capability.
Mass production of the electric Ford Bronco began on December 12. The JMC-Ford plant in Fushun is 98% automated, operating with the help of 600 industrial robots. The facility has a maximum annual production capacity of up to 300,000 vehicles and currently builds models for Ford, Lincoln, and JMC.

Earlier this year, Ford and JMC invested about $42 million (¥300 million) to upgrade their production lines for assembly of the electric Bronco. The launch of EV production marks a major milestone for the company. Under the Ford brand, the new SUV will compete with models such as the Aito M8, Li Auto L9, Denza N9, and other China-built rivals.
The electric Ford Bronco is easy to recognize thanks to its boxy body shape and a large “Bronco” script across the front. It features oversized bumpers and plastic cladding around the wheel arches. A swing-out rear tailgate with an externally mounted spare tire adds to its rugged image. At the same time, retractable door handles give the Bronco a cleaner, more modern look.

The new SUV boasts substantial dimensions: about 198 inches long, 77 inches wide, and 72 inches tall, with a wheelbase of roughly 116 inches. Minimum ground clearance is 8.7 inches, underscoring its off-road intent.

It uses a 43.7-kWh BYD Blade battery, providing up to 137 miles of electric-only range on the CLTC cycle. Its dual electric motors deliver 310 kW (416 horsepower), while total driving range in combined mode reaches approximately 758 miles.
