Nissan Announces U.S. Sales Launch of the 2026 Pathfinder, Pricing Revealed

Refreshed 2026 Nissan Pathfinder: pricing, updates, and what’s new — all the details

Nissan Announces U.S. Sales Launch of the 2026 Pathfinder, Pricing Revealed

Nissan has opened order books for the 2026 model year Pathfinder in the United States, with pricing starting at $37,500. The updated SUV brings a refreshed design and upgraded technology, continuing a nameplate that first debuted in the U.S. back in 1986.

Nissan has officially announced the start of orders for the refreshed 2026 Pathfinder for the American market. The entry price of $37,500 positions it as a competitive option in the midsize SUV segment. For that money, buyers get more than just subtle styling tweaks — the model also comes with an expanded list of modern features and technologies.

Visually, the 2026 Pathfinder stands out with a more expressive front grille, redesigned bumpers, and updated LED headlights. Inside, Nissan has improved cabin materials and introduced an updated infotainment system with a larger display, supporting the latest versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The base trim now also includes additional safety features, such as adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.

The Pathfinder’s history in the U.S. market dates back nearly 40 years, to 1986, when Nissan introduced a two-door, body-on-frame SUV. At the time, it was positioned as an alternative to domestic off-road vehicles and quickly gained popularity thanks to its durability and reliability. Over the decades, the Pathfinder has evolved significantly, transitioning from a rugged utility vehicle into a more refined, comfortable, and tech-focused family SUV.

With the latest update, Nissan engineers focused on striking a balance between off-road capability and everyday comfort. Powering the 2026 Pathfinder is a proven 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine paired with an automatic transmission. Depending on the trim level, buyers can choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Available features include an intelligent AWD system designed to deliver confident performance off-road and in challenging weather conditions.

According to Nissan, the updated Pathfinder is aimed at a broad audience — from families with kids to outdoor enthusiasts. The interior offers seating for up to eight passengers, while flexible rear-row configurations make it easy to transport large cargo. New available options include a panoramic roof, a premium audio system, and an expanded suite of advanced driver-assistance systems.
