Range Rover SV Ultra: Rethinking Luxury With “Tangible Sound” for $300,000

Jaguar Land Rover unveils its exclusive Range Rover ever, redefining luxury with cutting-edge sensory tech.

Range Rover SV Ultra: Rethinking Luxury With “Tangible Sound” for $300,000

Jaguar Land Rover has introduced a new flagship version of its iconic SUV—the Range Rover SV Ultra. At first glance, it might seem like just another high-end trim. In reality, this model aims to redefine what “premium” means in the full-size luxury SUV segment.

The philosophy behind the SV Ultra breaks away from traditional luxury cues. Inside, natural leather has been completely eliminated, replaced with advanced high-end textiles designed to feel just as refined. On the outside, the SUV stands out with an exclusive Titan Silver finish, aluminum accents, and massive 23-inch wheels. The overall look is unmistakably regal.

Where things get truly interesting is the technology. The centerpiece is the SV Electrostatic Sound system—an innovative audio setup that ditches conventional speakers. Instead, it uses 21 ultra-thin transducers, each about 0.04 inches thick, integrated into the seats, headrests, and headliner. The system responds faster and uses up to 90% less energy than traditional setups. But the real breakthrough isn’t just what you hear—it’s what you feel. The system transmits vibrations through the seats and floor, turning the cabin into a personal concert experience for every passenger.

The SV Ultra isn’t just another trim level—it sits at the very top of the fifth-generation Range Rover lineup. Buyers will initially get a choice between a 542-horsepower plug-in hybrid with an estimated 75 miles of electric range, and a 4.4-liter V8 producing 533 horsepower sourced from BMW. A fully electric version is expected to follow.

This model won’t be widely available. The SV Ultra will be offered strictly by invitation, reinforcing its exclusivity. Pricing starts at $300,000.
