Audi Q3 2025 of the New Generation (3-gen): World Premiere

Audi has unveiled the third generation of its popular compact crossover Q3. The model has retained its gasoline and diesel versions, but the flagship of the lineup has become a plug-in hybrid.

Since its debut in 2011, the Audi Q3 has gained immense popularity: sales exceeded 2 million units. The second generation appeared in 2018, and now, exactly seven years later, the third has been released.

Design

The appearance of the Q3 2025 has been reworked in the spirit of the brand's modern models. The headlights are now two-level, with an upper block of LED daytime running lights, including 23 segments for pattern change. Matrix headlights with 25,600 micro LEDs, capable of projecting prompts directly onto the road, are available as an option. The central area at the front is occupied by a wide radiator grille with diamond-shaped cells.

The profile features classic door handles—Audi abandoned fashionable retractable ones in favor of traditional ones. The rear part has acquired narrow gun-shaped taillights, connected by a thin LED strip. The brand logo is now in red, and the exhaust pipes are hidden under the bumper.

Aerodynamics have improved: the drag coefficient decreased from 0.32 to 0.30. The dimensions have grown slightly: length increased by 47 mm (to 4531 mm), width—by 10 mm (1859 mm), and height—by 7 mm (1623 mm).

Interior: Technology and Comfort

The interior is completely updated. The dashboard features a curved display, combining a digital cockpit (11.9 inches) and a multimedia touchscreen (12.8 inches). The system runs on Android Automotive OS, supports an integrated SIM card, and a voice assistant with an avatar.

Among the exciting options are a head-up display, a Sonos audio system with 12 speakers, and double-glazed side windows for better sound insulation. The gear shift lever is gone, replaced by a steering column switch. Climate control is now operated through the touchscreen or by voice.

The rear seat has adjustable backrest angle and longitudinal position. The trunk volume has slightly decreased—488 liters compared to 530 in the previous model.

Engines: Gasoline, Diesel, and Hybrid

The base gasoline variant is a 1.5 TFSI (150 hp, 250 Nm) with a 48-volt mild hybrid. The diesel version is equipped with a 2.0 TDI (150 hp, 360 Nm). Both are front-wheel drive only with an S-tronic robotized gearbox.

The top gasoline modification is a 2.0 TFSI (265 hp, 400 Nm) with quattro all-wheel drive. The Q3 e-Hybrid combines a 1.5 TFSI (177 hp) and an electric motor (116 hp), producing a total of 272 hp. A 19.7 kWh battery provides an all-electric range of up to 119 km.
