Nio's Onvo L90 SUV debuted interior in China - pre-sales to start on July 10th

Pre-sales of the electric model with a swappable battery will start on July 10th. The L90's power reaches 440 kW (590 hp), it features a high-voltage 900 V system and has a CLTC range of up to 605 km.

Onvo is a mass-market brand launched by Nio in May 2024. Currently, its lineup includes one model — the L60 fastback SUV, based on the Tesla Model Y.

According to China EV DataTracker, 46,223 units of the Onvo L60 were sold from September 2024 to May 2025. However, the expected sales volume for this model was 20,000 units per month, which was not achieved.

The brand's second model, the new L90, aims to boost sales by entering the rapidly growing full-size new energy SUV segment in China.

On July 2nd, the Nio brand unveiled official images of the L90's interior. Onvo representatives announced that pre-sales of this crossover in China will begin on July 10th.

Interior of Onvo L90

The Onvo L90 boasts a three-row cabin with six seats in a 2+2+2 layout. Brand representatives emphasized that their second model offers «six VIP seats». The vehicle's interior is done in white.

The L90's central console features a large floating screen and a display replacing the LCD instrument panel. Other features include a gear shifter behind a double D-shaped steering wheel, two wireless charging pads, and dual cup holders.

Each of the six seats in the Onvo L90 is electrically powered. The first and second-row seats support a zero-gravity mode.

The central panel of the model features a touchscreen for the second row, as well as a refrigerator and a folding table for the right passenger. There is a monitor on the ceiling. The car's roof hatch is divided into two independent sections.

The L90's luxury is underlined by features like chrome accents, wood trim, hinges on the side pillars, lighting, and buttons instead of door handles.

The Onvo L90's first-row seats can fold down to form two sleeping spaces. This is a common feature for full-size Chinese crossovers. Third-row passengers have seat activation buttons, cup holders, and charging ports.

Onvo L90 - other configurations

The Onvo L90 is a full-size crossover with dimensions of 5145 × 1998 × 1766 mm and a wheelbase of 3110 mm. It is equipped with 21-inch wheels. A distinctive feature of the L90's exterior is the large hood, which serves as a lid for the front trunk with a volume of 240 liters. The vehicle's weight ranges from 2250 to 2385 kg.

The Onvo L90 will be offered with two powertrain options. The first is RWD with a single electric motor producing 340 kW (456 hp). A two-motor 4WD version is also available, with a combined peak power of 440 kW (590 hp).

The crossover is equipped with an 85 kWh battery, providing a CLTC range from 570 to 605 km. The L90 supports battery swap technology: a depleted battery can be replaced with a fully charged one at about 2000 swap stations across China.

Pre-sales for the Onvo L90 will start on July 10th. Its estimated price ranges from 220,000 to 250,000 yuan ($30,000 – $35,000).
