Jeep Compass 4xe SUV: New Details Revealed

The off-road version of the Jeep Compass has received refreshed exterior styling, upgraded interior materials, and a higher ground clearance. Pricing will be announced at a later date.

The Jeep Compass first debuted in 2006, with the second generation arriving in 2016. The third-generation SUV was officially unveiled in early May 2025. As previously reported by Kolesa.ru, production of this American-brand SUV will take place at Stellantis’ factory in Italy. Now, the company has shared new details about the Jeep Compass 4xe version.

The off-road 4xe variant was partially revealed during the May premiere. It features a redesigned lower front bumper, with a larger air intake framed by a dark gray “X”-pattern grille, one of which is highlighted in red. Fog lights are positioned on either side of this element.

The hood carries a matte-black, anti-glare decal, while the profile is distinguished by 19-inch wheels fitted with high-profile tires. The lower rear bumper is also redesigned, and the rear is accented with a red tow hook.

One of the main features of the Compass 4xe is a suspension lifted by 10 mm, which increases both ground clearance and approach (27°), departure (31°), and ramp (16°) angles. This allows the SUV to tackle rough terrain with greater confidence.

For the first time, the interior of the new Jeep Compass 4xe has been revealed. Its main difference from other third-generation Compass models is the use of more durable, wear-resistant interior materials. The upholstery is easier to clean, and the rear seatbacks are protected against scratches, making it convenient for transporting pets or outdoor gear. Practical rubberized floor mats and additional storage compartments are also included.

Visually, the interior features brown inserts on the dashboard, center console, seats, and door panels, accented with contrasting red highlights instead of the silver tones found in other versions. Standard equipment includes a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 16-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The third-generation Jeep Compass is built on the STLA Medium platform. Technical details for the 4xe variant have not yet been fully disclosed, but it will come with all-wheel drive and Jeep’s Select-Terrain traction management system, including an off-road driving mode.

The base Compass is powered by a 145-hp mild-hybrid system with a 1.2-liter turbo-three and a 48-volt “electric assist.” The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant produces 195 hp, combining a 1.6-liter turbo-four with an electric motor. Additionally, three all-electric versions will be offered: front-wheel-drive models produce 213 or 231 hp, while the all-wheel-drive variant delivers 375 hp. Maximum range on a single charge is up to 650 km (WLTP cycle).
