Ford Motor Company recalls over 4.3 million vehicles nationwide. Check the full list of affected models
Federal safety regulators announced a massive Ford recall impacting millions of vehicles due to trailer brake and lighting defects.
More than 4.3 million Ford and Lincoln vehicles are being recalled across the United States, according to a notice released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall covers roughly 4,380,609 vehicles and centers on a defect involving the integrated trailer brake control module. Regulators say the system may lose communication with the vehicle, potentially leading to a loss of trailer brake lights or turn signals — and in some cases, reduced braking performance.
Safety officials warn that if the issue occurs, drivers could lose proper control of a connected trailer, raising the likelihood of a crash.
Here’s what drivers should know.
Which models are included?

According to federal safety documents, the following vehicles are part of the recall:
- 2026 Ford E-Transit
- 2022–2026 Ford Expedition
- 2021–2026 Ford F-150
- 2022–2026 Ford F-250 Super Duty
- 2022–2026 Ford Maverick
- 2024–2026 Ford Ranger
- 2022–2026 Lincoln Navigator
