You Won’t Recognize This Toyota: Tuners Turned the Crossover Into a Sports Car

Following its August update, the Toyota Harrier received several customization options from the factory's Modellista tuning division. The company offered designs with different styling approaches, ranging from a sportier look to a more upscale appearance. A separate version was prepared for the special Night Shade trim.

The Toyota Harrier made its debut in 1997 as a crossover related to the RAV4 but aimed at a more upscale segment. The model's fourth generation debuted in 2020. In August 2026, the company gave the model another minor update for the Japanese market.

It was recently revealed that the Toyota Harrier, updated for the final time before the arrival of the next generation, received several styling options from Modellista that can significantly change the crossover's appearance without resorting to full aftermarket tuning.

The main offering is the Gran Blaze Style package (main photo). It includes a sporty front bumper spoiler with LED daytime running lights, side skirts, and a rear bumper with dual exhaust outlets positioned at the outer edges of the body. The look is completed by 20-inch two-tone Wing Dancer XIV alloy wheels.

Another highlight of the Gran Blaze Style body kit is the combination of matte silver and other decorative elements, which gives the crossover a more distinctive appearance. The aerodynamic body kit gives the Harrier a more dynamic silhouette.

At the same time as the updated model, the special Night Shade version was introduced. For it, Modellista prepared a separate Gran Blaze Style treatment, replacing the chrome and matte silver elements with dark details. The design continues the Night Shade's black styling theme and gives the body kit a more understated appearance.

For buyers who want something beyond a sporty look, Modellista offers the Avant Emotional Style package. It includes a more sophisticated aerodynamic spoiler, while various body elements receive chrome and matte silver finishes.

The package also uses 20-inch two-tone Wing Dancer XIV wheels. An additional spoiler can be installed on the rear liftgate, completing the exterior look and giving the body more dynamic contours.

The next-generation Toyota Harrier is not far away. The vehicle is expected to debut in 2027 with a hammer-inspired design, a hybrid system based on a 1.5-liter engine, improved sound insulation, and premium interior materials.
