BMW has crafted a one-off M760e xDrive hybrid sedan to honor the 90th birthday of golf legend Gary Player — a car that combines sporty style, luxurious design, and a philanthropic mission.
The unique flagship sedan, built by BMW Individual Manufaktur, was presented to Player as a special tribute to his remarkable legacy. More than just a personalized gift, the car serves as part of a charity initiative.

This exclusive M760e xDrive features a distinctive two-tone exterior in Black Sapphire and Dravit Grey, custom badging, and a personalized interior trimmed in contrasting leather with detailed embroidery and Player’s own signature. The door sills bear his famous motto: “The harder I practice, the luckier I get.”


Under the hood, it’s one of the most powerful variants in the lineup, with a plug-in hybrid powertrain producing 571 horsepower and a 0-to-62 mph time of just 4.3 seconds. But this car’s true value lies beyond performance — it will be auctioned off by Strauss & Co, with all proceeds going to the Gary and Vivienne Player Foundation, supporting educational and community initiatives around the world.

By creating one-off signature models like this, BMW showcases its craftsmanship and commitment to personalization, strengthening the emotional bond between brand and customer. The project elegantly merges sport, style, and social responsibility.
A bit of history:
Gary Player, a South African professional golfer, is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the sport’s history. Over his career, he won nine major championships and nine senior majors. In 1965, at just 29, he captured the U.S. Open, becoming the only non-American to complete golf’s career Grand Slam — and at that time, the youngest ever to do so.

Known as “The Black Knight,” “Mr. Fitness,” and “The International Ambassador of Golf,” Player is also a renowned golf course architect with over 400 designs across five continents. He has authored or co-authored 36 books on golf instruction, course design, philosophy, motivation, and fitness.
On January 7, 2021, U.S. President Donald Trump awarded Gary Player the Presidential Medal of Freedom, recognizing his lifelong contributions to sport and global goodwill.
