U.S. Unveils Self-Driving Truck with Night Vision: Ready for 24/7 Operations

PlusAI has introduced SuperDrive 6.0, its updated software platform for autonomous trucking. The system is designed to accelerate the shift toward large-scale self-driving freight and pave the way for a full commercial rollout in 2027.

The latest version brings major capabilities to commercial trucking, including night driving and operation in construction zones. The AI model now learns ten times faster. Built on data from more than 7 million miles of real-world driving across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, SuperDrive 6.0 represents a significant step forward, bringing PlusAI closer to scalable, fully autonomous commercial deployment by 2027—using production trucks equipped for factory-line self-driving.

With the addition of night driving and construction zone functionality, trucks running SuperDrive can operate around the clock. By doubling prediction accuracy and dramatically speeding up AI development, the company can accelerate testing and expand operational environments. From internal testing of a key feature to full commercial deployment, the process can take just a few weeks.
