Ford Recalls Over 261,000 Vehicles Across Multiple Models Due to Electrical and Fuel System Problems

Ford has announced a recall impacting more than 261,000 vehicles over concerns tied to electrical systems and fuel pump performance, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Drivers can check whether their vehicle is affected by visiting the official NHTSA website and entering their VIN.

Lincoln SUVs and Ford Models Affected

The largest portion of the recall includes 254,640 vehicles, covering model years 2022 through 2025 for the Lincoln Navigator, as well as 2024–2025 Lincoln Nautilus, and 2025 Lincoln Aviator and Ford Explorer models.

The issue centers on the Image Processing Module A, which may reset unexpectedly. If that happens, drivers could lose the rearview camera feed along with several advanced safety features, such as pre-collision assist, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring.

Ford says dealers will update the module’s software, either in-store or through an over-the-air update, at no cost. Notification letters are expected to be sent out March 30, and customers can reach Ford support directly for more details.

Additional Recall for Super Duty Trucks

Separately, Ford is recalling 7,105 heavy-duty trucks, including 2020–2022 F-250 through F-550 models, along with certain F-600 and F-750 trucks. These vehicles were previously serviced under an earlier recall but may not have been repaired correctly.

In these trucks, biodiesel buildup could form inside the fuel pump system, potentially leading to failure of the high-pressure pump. To fix the issue, dealerships will update the powertrain control module software, again free of charge.

Owner notifiction letters are also scheduled to be mailed March 30. Vehicle identification numbers for this recall have been searchable since March 18.
