2027 Nissan Rogue e-Power Debuts as Next-Gen Hybrid Crossover Nears Launch
Nissan reveals next-generation Rogue with e-Power hybrid system set to arrive in U.S. showrooms soon
Nissan has unveiled the next-generation Rogue for the 2027 model year, introducing its e-Power hybrid system to the U.S. market for the first time.
At a glance, the redesigned crossover keeps the familiar silhouette of today’s Rogue, but nearly every exterior detail has been reworked. Up front, the headlights now blend into the grille with a distinctive lighting signature, while the rear features new mesh-style taillights paired with a bold design element on the rear pillar.
Early reports suggest the updated Rogue will grow slightly in size compared to the current model, though it will continue to offer a two-row, five-passenger layout.

The biggest change comes under the hood. The new Rogue adopts Nissan’s e-Power setup, a series hybrid system that uses electric motors to drive the wheels at all times. The gasoline engine doesn’t power the wheels directly—instead, it acts as a generator to recharge the battery.
For U.S. buyers, the system will also include all-wheel drive, achieved through a dual-motor setup with one electric motor on each axle. Nissan has yet to disclose details about the gasoline engine that will serve as the generator.

According to unofficial sources, when the new Rogue arrives, it will initially be offered exclusively with the hybrid system. However, the current gas-powered Rogue is expected to remain on sale alongside it. A non-hybrid version of the next-generation model is also planned, though its debut timing hasn’t been confirmed.
The 2027 Nissan Rogue e-Power is expected to reach dealerships across the United States by the end of this year, with additional details to be released in the coming months.
