Ford Reveals the 2026 Bronco Sport in New Space White Metallic
The refreshed 2026 Ford Bronco Sport arrives with new exterior colors and notable changes to its standard equipment.
Ford has started rolling out details on the 2026 model-year Bronco Sport, and one of the first highlights is a new exterior shade called Space White Metallic. Identified by paint code A3, the color joins Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat and Ruby Red Metallic in the lineup, giving the compact SUV a more upscale, refined look.
Space White Metallic is available on the Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands trims and comes at no extra cost. Buyers can pair it with the new Bronze package or the off-road–focused Bronze + Black Diamond package. That said, the color is limited to certain interior choices—Dark Space Gray, Platinum Blue, Ebony, and Bronze Fire—which narrows customization options somewhat.

In total, the 2026 Bronco Sport can be ordered in eight exterior colors. At the same time, Ford has dropped Eruption Green Metallic and Desert Sand, two shades that were closely tied to the model’s rugged, outdoorsy image. The change signals a subtle shift toward a more versatile, urban-friendly style. And the update goes beyond paint alone.
For 2026, Ford has reworked the equipment list. Three trims lose the 12.3-inch touchscreen, replaced by an 8-inch display that now serves as the standard screen on Big Bend, Heritage, and Outer Banks models.

Wireless smartphone charging, the adjustable spotlight-style lamp, and rain-sensing wipers have also been removed from the standard feature set. Some elements of the Black Diamond package now cost extra, and a new safety package is being introduced for the first time as a subscription-based option.
As a result, the 2026 Bronco Sport looks fresher thanks to its updated color palette, but it also illustrates how automakers are increasingly balancing visual updates with tighter control over standard equipment.

Space White Metallic certainly suits the Bronco Sport well, but the pared-back base features suggest that even Ford’s adventure-oriented models are following a broader trend—trimming the basics and leaving more decisions, and costs, in the hands of buyers.
