Chinese Hybrid Maextro S800: 820-mile Range and Accelerated Charging
The novelty has received a range of up to 1,330 km and the ability to charge from 10 to 80% in just 12 minutes.
The Chinese car manufacturer JAC Group has launched a new model on the market — the Maextro S800. This hybrid electric car combines power, innovative technology, and an impressive range of up to 1,330 km. One of its key features is ultra-fast charging: the battery charge is replenished from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes.

The car stands out with its memorable exterior: the radiator grille is designed with four horizontal and two vertical lines, while the crystal headlights give it a high-tech appearance. The model is based on the Tulindragon platform with an aluminum chassis, front double-wishbone, and rear multi-link independent suspension.
Two Versions: Electric and Hybrid

Customers are offered a choice between a fully electric modification and a hybrid version with extended range (EREV).
- The electric car is equipped with two motors with a total power of 390 kW and a 95 kWh battery, providing up to 701 km on a single charge.
- The hybrid EREV combines electric motors with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine (115 kW). In the two-motor configuration, the electric range is 400 km, while the total range reaches 1,330 km. The three-motor variant delivers 635 kW of power, offering 365 km on pure electricity and up to 1,200 km in combined mode.
The Maextro S800 supports charging to the 800 V standard, allowing for rapid battery recharge. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes between 4.3 and 4.9 seconds. Safety is ensured by a robust body composed of 92% ultra-high-strength materials, as well as the Huawei ADS 4 system with four li-dar devices and 32 sensors.

One of the model's highlights is the rear-wheel steering (±12°), which not only improves maneuverability but also allows the car to move "crab-like" (sideways shift of up to 16°).

For comparison, the Mercedes-Maybach S-class, comparable in size and luxury, is priced approximately twice as high in China — from 205,500 dollars. The Maextro S800 is offered in six versions with sequential hybrid and fully electric power units and four- or five-seat cabins, which range in price from 99 to 142.5 thousand dollars.

The interior is worth noting: finished with leather, suede, polished aluminum, and wood, the cabin accommodates three screens spanning the width of the dashboard, complemented by a heads-up display and a digital rearview mirror. A large "TV" is integrated into the ceiling, serving simultaneously as a divider between the front and rear rows.

All seats provide electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and a massage function, with speakers integrated into the headrests — altogether, the 2,920-watt audio system from Huawei includes 43 loudspeakers. Among the features are four-zone climate control, a "smart" refrigerator that maintains temperatures from minus 6 to plus 50 degrees, and the latest-generation Huawei driver assistance suite, utilizing 32 different sensors, including four li-dars.
