Ford Recalls Over 105,000 Mustangs in the U.S. Due to Lighting Issues
Ford has announced a recall of 2024–2025 Mustang models in the U.S. over potential lighting malfunctions caused by water intrusion.

Ford Motor Co. has issued a recall affecting 105,441 Mustang vehicles from the 2024–2025 model years in the United States. The problem stems from improperly sealed body panels that may allow water to enter, potentially damaging the body control module. This defect could disrupt the operation of exterior lighting, including headlights, rear lamps, and license plate illumination, reducing the vehicle’s visibility to other road users.
Owners will be offered a free inspection and sealing of the body seams, and if necessary, replacement of damaged control modules. Notification letters are expected to be sent in September 2025, with repair work scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026. The fix can be carried out at authorized service centers or through a software update.
