Another auto blogger, “Zurich Beileye”, noted that last year Ferrari representatives visited Xiaomi’s headquarters, where they likely discussed joint development of high-performance electric motors. Although no formal partnership has been announced yet, the purchase of the SU7 Ultra for research indicates Ferrari’s serious interest in Chinese technology.

Ferrari’s First EV: What Do We Know?

Insiders say Ferrari is planning to unveil its first fully electric car by the end of this year. That makes the appearance of the SU7 Ultra at the Maranello plant a logical step in preparing for the launch of a new model.

Another Weibo user, “Piniluoshan”, reported that on July 28, a camouflaged prototype with fake exhaust pipes was seen near the Ferrari factory. According to engineers, this is a test platform for a pure EV expected to debut in the coming months.
