Chinese Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Spotted at Ferrari Factory in Italy: What Are They Hiding?
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and Ferrari: An Unexpected Alliance in the EV World?

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, the flagship electric vehicle from the Chinese company, has been spotted at the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy. According to blogger “Sago soup in Bologna”, this suggests that Ferrari is actively studying the Chinese model as part of its efforts to develop its own electric platform.
Several eyewitnesses confirmed that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra was seen leaving Ferrari’s headquarters.
“This car was definitely inside Ferrari’s plant. After checking, we found out that the vehicle was officially purchased by the Italian brand for testing and for the development of their next-generation electric platform,” the blogger reported.
Another auto blogger, “Zurich Beileye”, noted that last year Ferrari representatives visited Xiaomi’s headquarters, where they likely discussed joint development of high-performance electric motors. Although no formal partnership has been announced yet, the purchase of the SU7 Ultra for research indicates Ferrari’s serious interest in Chinese technology.
Ferrari’s First EV: What Do We Know?
Insiders say Ferrari is planning to unveil its first fully electric car by the end of this year. That makes the appearance of the SU7 Ultra at the Maranello plant a logical step in preparing for the launch of a new model.
Another Weibo user, “Piniluoshan”, reported that on July 28, a camouflaged prototype with fake exhaust pipes was seen near the Ferrari factory. According to engineers, this is a test platform for a pure EV expected to debut in the coming months.
Why Did Ferrari Choose the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra?
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has earned recognition for its high performance and advanced electric architecture. The car was also spotted at Hyundai’s headquarters in South Korea, confirming its popularity among automakers as a benchmark for study.
Ferrari, long known for its gasoline-powered supercars, is now turning toward electrification. And with its powerful drivetrain and innovative platform, the SU7 Ultra may serve as an important technical reference point for the Italian brand.
