Aston Martin Revives Lagonda: First Electric Model Spotted Testing, Range Over 500 Miles

More than 500 miles of range, dual electric motors, a Wunderbox battery, and a renewed push toward electrification after years on hold.

Aston Martin Revives Lagonda: First Electric Model Spotted Testing, Range Over 500 Miles

Aston Martin has resumed development of its first Lagonda electric vehicle, with a prototype now spotted undergoing public road testing. The EV is expected to be based on the Lagonda Vision concept first unveiled in 2018.

Despite heavy camouflage, the Lagonda EV’s radical design is already apparent. The car features a steeply raked, almost flat windshield and a sharp, pointed nose housing slim LED headlights. A low roofline gives the vehicle a wedge-shaped profile, clearly optimized for aerodynamic efficiency.

According to preliminary information, the Lagonda EV will be powered by dual electric motors and a Wunderbox battery system. Aston Martin claims a maximum driving range of more than 500 miles and peak output of around 820 horsepower.

The new Lagonda is expected to take on luxury EV rivals from brands such as Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. Like other major automakers, Aston Martin is investing heavily in electrification to meet shifting market demands and stricter emissions regulations. The Lagonda EV will mark a key step in that strategy, helping the company carve out a place in the premium electric vehicle segment.
