Once Mocked, Now the Safest Pickup of the Year
Tesla Cybertruck получил высшую оценку безопасности IIHS
Tesla’s electric pickup has been awarded the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation following structural updates introduced for the 2025 model year.
The Tesla Cybertruck received the highest honor from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for 2025 models built after April. Evaluators highlighted improved performance in updated crash tests, a highly effective collision avoidance system, and strong headlight performance.
According to the IIHS, Tesla revised the lower front structure and footwell area, improving protection for both the driver and front passenger in small-overlap frontal crashes. The moderate-overlap frontal test and the updated side-impact test both earned “Good” ratings.
The forward collision prevention system delivered strong results in pedestrian crash avoidance scenarios. The standard Collision Avoidance Assist system successfully avoided crashes in both daytime and nighttime tests involving adults and children. Headlights equipped with automatic high beams helped offset lighting limitations.
The Cybertruck is now one of only two full-size pickups to achieve a Top Safety Pick+ rating and the only one in its segment equipped with Full Self-Driving (Supervised), which allows the vehicle to navigate city streets and highways under active driver supervision.
