Volvo Cars Recalls S60L Sedans Over Safety Risk
Owners of this model are urged to remain especially vigilant.
Volvo has announced a recall of 2,758 Volvo S60L sedans produced in 2017. The vehicles were manufactured at the company’s plant in China. Owners are being advised to pay close attention to the issue.
The recall stems from door locks supplied by Kiekert. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures may cause the locking mechanism to weaken and potentially fail. As a result, the doors may not latch securely, creating a safety risk both while driving and when the vehicle is parked.
The issue is particularly relevant in regions with hot climates, where extended heat exposure is more common.
Owners of 2017 S60L sedans are encouraged to contact an authorized Volvo dealer to arrange for replacement of the affected door locks with updated components.
