One-Off Dallara Macchina Posto Singolo Single-Seat Sports Car Heads to Auction

Unique single-seat Dallara sports car built as a one-off will soon be auctioned publicly.

One-Off Dallara Macchina Posto Singolo Single-Seat Sports Car Heads to Auction

Auction house RM Sotheby's will offer a truly unique vehicle later this April: the one-of-a-kind Dallara Macchina Posto Singolo.

Built in 2024 by Italian engineering company Dallara—best known for developing race car chassis used across multiple motorsport series—the Macchina Posto Singolo was created as a pure driver’s machine designed to deliver an uncompromised driving experience.

The single-seat speedster features a carbon-fiber monocoque structure inspired by the company’s motorsport heritage and its road-going model, the Dallara Stradale. Its color scheme and graphics pay tribute to Dallara’s early project, the SP1000, echoing the look of the company’s first prototype.

Power comes from a 2.3-liter turbocharged Ford EcoBoost engine producing roughly 400 horsepower. Inside the compact cockpit, the driver controls a six-speed automated manual transmission using steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Because the cabin is extremely tight, several controls had to be relocated to unusual positions. Some buttons—including the engine start control—are mounted directly on the interior door panels.

The Macchina Posto Singolo is being sold directly by Dallara itself and has never had a private owner. The street-legal one-off is expected to bring at least about $805,000 at auction (converted from roughly €700,000).
