The new budget Renault Twingo caught during tests: photos published
A prototype of the new Renault Twingo 2026 has hit the roads for trial runs.
The prototype of the new Renault Twingo 2026 has hit the roads in China. The appearance of the car in China clearly indicates that the French company does not plan to sell this model only in Europe. However, it is not excluded that this is due to the choice of location for car production. That is, the French model may be assembled at a Chinese car factory. Therefore, it will be cheap.
According to some information, this electric hatchback will cost around 20,000 euros in Europe. The prototype of the French model is still covered in dense camouflage. But the published photos show that the front part of the Twingo's body has a complex configuration. Here, there is a wedge-shaped hood, with headlights on a slight elevation on the sides, and a sleek bumper. The side doors have a rounded shape. The rear one is almost vertical.

Thus, the overall exterior design of the new Twingo corresponds to the eponymous Renault concept. However, the production hatchback is likely to be slightly modified relative to the prototype. Inside, it is likely to house 2 screens: a compact digital instrument panel and a small touchscreen.
It is reported that the development of the new Twingo is at an advanced stage. The presentation of the car is scheduled for the middle of next year. The novelty is expected to debut with a single front electric motor, delivering up to 110 hp, with a range not exceeding 350 kilometers.
