Chery Models from Previous Years Tested for Durability with Euro NCAP Methodology: Crash Test Results
What results did the early models of the company show and should owners worry about safety?

Chery subjected its vehicles, operating for more than a decade, to stringent tests according to modern crash test standards.
Chery Tiggo and Arrizo models underwent a crash test with 40% overlap and a deformable barrier at a speed of 64 km/h, in accordance with Euro NCAP standards. It is claimed that the pillar deformations (A, B, C) were minimal, while the cabin retained its integrity, and all doors remained fully functional.
The second test involved 10-year-old Chery models engaging in a frontal collision with a rigid barrier at a speed of 50 km/h: airbags functioned flawlessly, and the dummies remained unharmed.
Importantly, the tested vehicles were not modified, meaning they participated in the tests exactly as they rolled off the assembly line 10 years ago. As it turned out, these cars demonstrated a level of safety comparable to modern models.
The company notes that even in the early models of the Chery brand, high-strength steels and special structural elements were used.
