Audi released two hybrids in one body: Q5 e-hybrid available in SUV and Sportback

Audi, in its style, continues to confuse even the most devoted fans by playing with model names. The latest innovation is the Audi Q5 e-hybrid 2025, which, despite its seeming belonging to a 'pure' electric car, is actually a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). However, it is a hybrid with a serious electric range and two powerful versions.

The new model is presented in two versions: 295 and 362 hp, both equipped with the brand's quattro system and an updated 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. According to the WLTP standard, the crossover can cover up to 100 km exclusively on electricity, a result close to the leaders in the class.

The offer includes both the standard SUV body and the more dynamic Sportback. In both cases, under the hood is the proven 2.0-liter gasoline TFSI working together with an electric motor and a 7-speed 'robot' S tronic. Acceleration to a hundred takes from 5.1 to 6.2 seconds depending on the version, and the maximum speed is limited to 250 km/h.

With a fast charger of up to 11 kW, the battery can be charged in just 2.5 hours. The standard equipment includes a sports suspension, three-zone climate control, full LED optics, and the latest generation MMI multimedia.

The Q5 e-hybrid is built on the new PPC (Premium Platform Combustion) platform, which will eventually replace the MLB. Future A5 and A6, which have received updated names as part of the restructuring of Audi's model range, will also be based on this architecture.

In Germany, the starting price is from 63,400 euros, placing the new model on par with premium competitors like the BMW X3 xDrive30e and Volvo XC60 T6 Recharge.
